hi everyone!i'm sorry ive been so super inactive online since i've arrived in london, but i'm safe and happy (:
it's only been 2 weeks since i've been here, but it's begun to feel like i've been here forever. the whole place is really awesome and i'm loving it here, except for when i have to trudge to school on a rainy day.
it's been rather tiring having to do very mundane things like settle in, buy necessities, decorate your room, doing laundry and running all sorts of errands, but i guess that's all part of being independent.
the law readings have just started to come in it's pretty horrible, i feel like i ought to be in the library studying instead of gallivanting around already ):
but anyway i really like my hall and my course mates (: i still mostly hang out with the singaporeans, but it's quite heartening to know that everyone else isn't as unfriendly as i expected. it's quite like rj all over again, making acquaintances and small talk around school (or hall in this instance). my neighbours are really nice and friendly, and i go for hockey with one of them. haha yes i joined hockey just for the fun of it, and it's a bit intimidating at first being the only asian (thats not brought up in the uk) there but it's actually pretty fun. i just hope the workload from law doesnt make me quit it in the end.
i dont really get to see my friends from before as much, cos we're not in the same courses/halls and that makes it nearly impossible to see each other around a lot, but i'm glad for small things like meeting up for lunch with val, tea and shopping with jiaks and lantern carrying/sleepover with karen sam etc.
OHYA and thanks everyone who came to send me off/ sent me messages and stuff, i was really very touched that y'all bothered (: i'm sorry if i've appeared like i've disappeared from the face of the earth/ very unfeeling and don't seem like i'm missing people back home, but i really do miss the many familiarities of singapore. it's just that i'm either too tired, or feel like there's hardly any point in hanging on too much to singapore anyway because everyone's started on their new lives and shouldnt be caught hanging in the past; we should all be living it up in our new phases of life!
i wanted to photoblog, but i guess laziness caught up with me and you're reading a post devoid of photos instead oops. btw i haven't decided if i should switch to lj haha so friends, what do you think? (:
